This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use Meridian Insurance, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
Meridian Insurance Ltd ("Meridian", "we", "us") is the data controller of personal information you give us. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 13642857, and authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA Registration No. 967284).

We rely on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR: performance of a contract (to arrange your cover), legal obligation (to meet FCA and HMRC requirements), legitimate interests (to prevent fraud and improve our service), and consent (for any marketing).
We share your information with regulators where required, with our IT and payment providers under written contracts, and with credit reference and fraud prevention agencies. We do not sell your information.
We keep your policy records for at least seven years after a policy ends, in line with FCA rules. Quote enquiries that do not become a policy are deleted after 24 months.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your information, correct it, request deletion, object to processing, and request portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact our data team at privacy@meridian.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
We will post any changes here and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be sent to active policyholders by email.
